So my last photos and real blog post was well back at Easter. Welcome to The 2nd of Nov!
I decided that I would just write down a few things so that I would remember them rather than go through my camera and figure out what to post.
After Easter came my b-day.. waahoo! I am one yr older. Which was followed by Ammon's birthday he turned 7 ( I can't believe that here in another 7 months we will be having a baptism) how in the world did I get to be this old? AHHHHH! After that came Aaron's Birthday, I think he turned 33.haha..Then came Roni's Birthday. She is now 2. Whew! I think that about catches us up!
So let me just now briefly fill you in on the real life events.
Aaron is still working for Ancestry.com they have been a pretty good company to work for.
Ammon, He is 7 going on 15. I often times wish that we had more boys his age in our neighborhood because he really does mostly hang out with the older boys, and even though they are nice to him most of the time it would be nice for him to play with boys his own age. Ammon is in the 2nd grade and much to my surprise he is doing really well and he really likes his teacher Mr Gatto. I was a little skeptical at first but upon being in school a couple of months I have decided I too really like him he knows Ammon really well and know how to handle him so that he doesn't spiral out of control.
Caitlynn, is turning 6 here very soon. I worked really hard with her last year so that I could test her into 1rst grade instead of doing Kindergarten. She was tested this summer and we were told that all most of her test score were end of kindergarten test scores and the her higher ones were early first grade. Her highest ones mind you were in Reading and writting and Verbal. Now this being said we were told that even after the testing it was still our choice. WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!! After being given her test score we were told that given her score it was up to our Principal because her scores were not high enough to go to first grade and that they were reccommending for her to be a ROCKSTAR kindergartener.. lame.. I did push the issue, and was still told the same thing except that I could take it to the district if I wanted to but that they had never not stood behind the principal. Talk about being Railroaded! Blah... well that is fine, I was then reassured that they would push Caitlynn to be better. Haha this is the biggest joke of all... so far I have had to stay on top of them to push her which is a pain in my you know what... The funniest part of this whole thing is that Ammon did first grade last year and all the take home reading he did then she is doing now ( in kindergarten.) Now I am not trying to compare my kids by any means, I just know that Caitlynn could have handled the work load and if anything she is becoming slightly lazy due to this. The Jury on her teacher this year is still out... I can't decide if I like her or not and sometimes I think she is pushing Caitlynn but then who am I kidding, she has 30 something kids in her class. Now at the risk of me looking like the ever hovering mother that thinks her child is sooo gifted and what not. This is not the case I just do not understand how an educator can look you in the face and tell you yes your child is well above average but we think ( after spending 5 mins with her) she will be much better suited to Kindergarten!.. To you sir I say this, you do not know my child after spending 5 mins with her when I have spent the last 5 years with her and I think it adsurb that you should have the final say and if this becomes a problem half way through the year, I will be sending her to YOU! 'Nough said.
This brings me to Roni, Roni is now two years old and yes bring on the terrible twos! I think that there are a couple of reasons the terrible twos have gotten their nick name, #1- Kicking, screaming and crying all become part of the normal family routine, you just schedual it in as though it is it is going to happen at any important event, usually before during and after #2 potty training is the worst. Need I say more?? All in all Roni is very sweet and loving most of the time she is starting to talk very well and yes I am starting the potty training next week, or maybe the week after...
Tyson will be one here in Dec. he is very mobile and quiet. He loves Roni, even when she lays on him and trys to pick him up.. which mind you THEY ARE THE SAME SIZE almost...
Ok I guess I will go last here, I am trying very hard not to move to the funny farm. But there are days that I wonder if I should just willing go there. Life I feel is moving at an all to rapid pace to keep up and well I blinked and all of the sudden my kids were much more grown up than the last time I checked. As for me I am just staying home with the kids, cooking, cleaning, changing diapers, doing hair out of my basement, and coaching gymnastics part time. Whew! I think I got it all. So there is the family update and as you can tell from the family photos we are all alive and well!
I am glad I was able to get us all caught up and perhaps someday I will look back on this and giggle that I almost missed an entire year. Good thing there is always next yr!

Great pics and update, but I'm really waiting for the post about how you start a fist fight with the principal.
