The last post for 2012!

Merry Christmas from our family to yours.. This is the best Chrismas card you will all be getting from us this year.  Yes I did drop the ball on that one! Oh well there is always next yr!

Aaron's companyChristmas party was forties themed and I am fairly certain I rocked it!
This will be my last post for 2012.  Here are a few of the highlights.  These are just a few pics from the last month.  Recently Roni was moved to a big girl bed and is doing really well in it.  She still has a few problems coming out of bed at night but nothing that is even worth complaining about.
Christmas was super fun and Santa was good to us this year. Caitlynn turned 6 yesterday and Ty turned one. I can't believe how big he is getting!
This year has turned out pretty well and coming up in February Aaron and I will celebrate our ten yr anniversary. Thanksgiving was fun Aaron's brother Paul was here visitng and that was lots of fun.
Halloween was also good Ammon went as Ghost Rider, Ty was a skunk, Caitlynn was a lady bug, and Roni was a sunflower.  All super fun. Roni turned two in August.  The lightbulb has clicked on for being a terrible two year old. Yeah for us!.. not..  Ammon is doing really well in school this year and is becoming such a good kid. I can't believe that in the next six months he will be getting baptized.  Aaron is still working for Ancestry.com and I am still doing hair from home and coaching gymnastics and being a stay at home mom.. Yes i am living the dream.. ha not sure who's dream it is sometimes, but o well..
I guess that about raps up the year.. Here's to 2013!
Yeah!

I blinked!

So my last photos and real blog post was well back at Easter.  Welcome to The 2nd of Nov!
I decided that I would just write down a few things so that I would remember them rather than go through my camera and figure out what to post.
After Easter came my b-day.. waahoo! I am one yr older.  Which was followed by Ammon's birthday he turned 7 ( I can't believe that here in another 7 months we will be having a baptism) how in the world did I get to be this old? AHHHHH! After that came Aaron's Birthday, I think he turned 33.haha..Then came Roni's Birthday.  She is now 2.  Whew! I think that about catches us up!
So let me just now briefly fill you in on the real life events.
Aaron is still working for Ancestry.com they have been a pretty good company to work for.
Ammon, He is 7 going on 15.  I often times wish that we had more boys his age in our neighborhood because he really does mostly hang out with the older boys, and even though they are nice to him most of the time it would be nice for him to play with boys his own age. Ammon is in the 2nd grade and much to my surprise he is doing really well and he really likes his teacher Mr Gatto. I was a little skeptical at first but upon being in school a couple of months I have decided I too really like him he knows Ammon really well and know how to handle him so that he doesn't spiral out of control.
Caitlynn, is turning 6 here very soon.  I worked really hard with her last year so that I could test her into 1rst grade instead of doing Kindergarten. She was tested this summer and we were told that all most of her test score  were end of kindergarten test scores and the her higher ones were early first grade. Her highest ones mind you were in Reading and writting and Verbal.  Now this being said we were told that even after the testing it was still our choice.  WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!  After being given her test score we were told that given her score it was up to our Principal because her scores were not high enough to go to first grade and that they were reccommending for her to be a ROCKSTAR kindergartener.. lame.. I did push the issue, and was still told the same thing except that I could take it to the district if I wanted to but that they had never not stood behind the principal.  Talk about being Railroaded! Blah... well that is fine, I was then reassured that  they would push Caitlynn to be better.  Haha this is the biggest joke of all... so far I have had to stay on top of them to push her which is a pain in my you know what... The funniest part of this whole thing is that Ammon did first grade last year and all the take home reading he did then she is doing now ( in kindergarten.)  Now I am not trying to compare my kids by any means, I just know that Caitlynn could have handled the work load and if anything she is becoming slightly lazy due to this.  The Jury on her teacher this year is still out... I can't decide if I like her or not and sometimes I think she is pushing Caitlynn but then who am I kidding, she has 30 something kids in her class. Now at the risk of me looking like the ever hovering mother that thinks her child is sooo gifted and what not.  This is not the case I just do not understand how an educator can look you in the face and tell you yes your child is well above average but we think ( after spending 5 mins with her) she will be much better suited to Kindergarten!.. To you sir I say this, you do not know my child after spending 5 mins with her when I have spent the last 5 years with her and I think it adsurb that you should have the final say and if this becomes a problem half way through the year, I will be sending her to YOU!  'Nough said.

This brings me to Roni, Roni is now two years old and yes bring on the terrible twos! I think that there are a couple of reasons the terrible twos have gotten their nick name, #1- Kicking, screaming and crying all become part of the normal family routine, you just schedual it in as though it is it is going to happen at any important event, usually before during and after #2 potty training is the worst.  Need I say more??  All in all Roni is very sweet and loving most of the time she is starting to talk very well and yes I am starting the potty training next week, or maybe the week after...
Tyson will be one here in Dec.  he is very mobile and quiet.  He loves Roni, even when she lays on him and trys to pick him up.. which mind you THEY ARE THE SAME SIZE almost...
Ok I guess I will go last here, I am trying very hard not to move to the funny farm. But there are days that I wonder if I should just willing go there.  Life I feel is moving at an all to rapid pace to keep up and well I blinked and all of the sudden my kids were much more grown up than the last time I checked.  As for me I am just staying home with the kids, cooking, cleaning, changing diapers, doing hair out of my basement, and coaching gymnastics part time.  Whew! I think I got it all.  So there is the family update and as you can tell from the family photos we are all alive and well!
I am glad I was able to get us all caught up and perhaps someday I will look back on this and giggle that I almost missed an entire year.  Good thing there is always next yr!

My nephew Eli

So Easter this year was really fun.  The kids and Aaron actually went to Parawon to visit some friends of ours and did a big easter egg hunt there, hence why there are no pictures of us coloring eggs and so forth.  It was still fun, the Easter bunny came the kids were able to find their baskets even Roni had a good time looking for hers.  Later in the day we took some family pictures and the kids were not very cooperative but oh well such is life.  Even later my family came over and we took a few more photos, that too is a dificult thing to do with so many people.  But it was fun and we had a fun eater egg hunt of our own later on.  All in all it was a good year. Megan brought her boyfriend Jesse with her.

Tyson's baby blessing

Wow what a great day! Ty blessing was really a special day we thank those that came and helped out. It was a really fun day! I can't believe how big he is getting already it seems to go by much to quick. But we are just so happy that he is here and healthy, and that he is such a good baby.

Bronco Family

Since Aaron is from Denver we usually root for the Broncos. Thanks to his sister Lana who sends us Bronco clothing we were able to outfit the whole family and take a few photos.

Cait turns 5

So two days after having Ty, Caitlynn turned 5. I was a little upset because I wasn't really home all days since we were still in the hospital doing billi lights all day with Ty. By the time we got home that night it was 6 pm. I was tired and crabby my meds had been messed up and the pharmacy wouldn't fill them.. Needless to say my dear sister in law filled in and made the cake and stuff, and we still had a small party for her that evening. She still had a wonderful day. We sure do love her. She is still very bossy and even more now that Ty has arrived. She is very helpful most of the time when it comes to her younger siblings, but every once in awhile she just want to push Roni's buttons which in turn pushes mine.. Alas sometimes she thinks she's the mom.. Haha I know what my mom was thinking when I was that age. This fall Cait will start kindergarten and she can't wait for it! We are really happy that she is part of our family :)

Ty's lights

I know I mentioned in my last post about Ty having to do the billi lights. It wasn't fun for him or me. Either way Aaron snapped this pic of Ty doing the lights so we would remember it and I forgot to add it.

Tyson Denver Spencer

I have to say each baby I have had has been a different experience. Even though I have been induced with each one. I went in on the morning of the 27th of Dec. They got me all hooked up and tried to break my water but couldn't. So we waited... about noon the dr came over and broke my water, by 1 pm I had my epidural.. It did make me kinda sick but not as sick as when I had Roni (thank goodness) they low dosed my epidural since it made me so sick last time.. The bad part about that was that by the time I was at an 8 I could feel everything. Tyson was born about 5 pm, and thankfully I had him here in 2 pushes.. which hurt o so very bad it is a blessing I didn't have to push long... Tyson was my BIGGEST baby by far.. Ammon was my second Biggest a 6 lbs 14 oz but Tyson was a whopping 8 lbs 2 oz I could not believe how big he was! Whew! Upon arrival he cried and cried and cried, when they took him to the nurshery he wasn't breathing well so the had to hook him to the machine to help him breathe for awhile. In the meantime I was able to get up and walk and get in a wheel chair to go to mother baby unit. ( Very strange considering that with all my other babies I haven't had feeling in my lower half and usually go down on a gurney and have to be rolled to my bed.) I was told about the breathing machine as we got to my room and we decided to go sit with Ty in the nurshery. That too was a new experience for me. After a couple of hours breathing and being bathed he finlly was ok enough to come be with me in our room. I was exhausted and hungry. But after some pain meds and food and feeding Ty all was well. He did have Jandice and had to do the billi lights, that was a pain but he is finally do really well and at his 2 wk check up weighed in a 8lbs 9 oz.
This has been a big adjustment for our family. But I think over all we are doing really well. It's only gotta get better from here the bigger the kids get. We are really happy to have Ty in our family even though I wasn't planning his arrival quite so soon after having Roni. I guess he had other plans though :)

Christmas 2011

To be honest this year came way to quick. It was a really fun year though. Truth be told I was really hoping that Tyson would come on his own before Christmas. I was a little dissappointed that he didn't. Anyhow, the kids had a great year. They were really excited. Christmas eve Aaron's fam came over and we had dinner and a little devotional, and then the kids exchanged gifts. They loved it!
Christmas morning I thought for sure this year would begin early.. alas it did not. The kids still did not get up till 7:30 am. And when they did they sure were quick to check to see if Santa had come. Truthfully I have more video footage of Christmas morning and stuff then I do pictures. Also, I apologize in advance for the very LARGE pic of myself with my HUGE belly.. but I just couldn't help myself and thought maybe it would be good to remember how big I really was.. Anyhow, Christmas was filled with lots of happiness and love.

Ok here is the rest of 2011!

Our fall harvest 2011
Roni went as a black kitty but she didn't like the ears at all.. So I couldn't snap a decent picture of her in her cute costume..
Cait also went as a black kitty. She loved being the same thing with Roni.
Ammon went as the camo ninja master!
Roni eating some of her pumpkin.
Aaron was able to cut off the pumpkins top!
The Pumpkin carving!
Halloween this year was really fun the kids are starting to get old enough to know what Halloween is all about. It was actually pleasant to take them out since it was warm that night. The next day it was super cold but at least it was nice for Halloween.
Now, as for Thanksgiving.. this yr we spent it at Aaron sister's house in Lehi. I took no pictures :(
Perhaps next yr I will be better about that.. However I did take a photo from our fall harvest from our 2nd year of gardening. I was really please that we did so well this year. Tons of tomatoes, and squash and radishes and so forth!
