Veronica almost two weeks!

Veronica will turn two weeks old on Wed. Wow! Two weeks! I can't believe how fast they grow! She so far is a really good baby. She has an occasional bad day here and there where she will cry alot unless she is being held. Otherwise she crys when she poops, when she wants to eat, and if she needs to be burped more. She really is a sweet heart, kinda of in between what Ammon and Caitlynn were. She doesn't cry as much as Cait but she isn't quite as content as Ammon was. She eats as well, and is very snuggly. She loves to be held and cuddled up in her soft blankey. I am relieved to pleased to say that having a third is not as bad as I was imagining it being. WHEW! That is a relief. Ammon and Caitlynn love their little sister, they will sing to her, turn on her swing for her and give her toys to look at and if she is crying to much they just plug their ears and leave the room. (lol) But so far so good. Last week at least three nights all three kids were asleep before 8:30 pm. RELIEF! I was able to relax, and do a few things for myself. I am glad that this has all worked out so well. Such a stressful nine months of waiting and wondering but now that she's here and things are ok I am glad.
Enjoy the pics! More to come sometime here soon I am going to venture out and take some new family pics!

Kindergarten!

I can't believe that I am old enough to have a child starting school! Our family is changing soooo rapidly I just feel like it's one thing after another. These past few months are not what I was expecting at all.
Ammon started kindergarten last week. He was sooo excited to go! He had everything thing he needed and right before we got there Wed morning he told me " mom I am nervous" I told him not to worry that his teacher that he had met on Monday would be there and that she was really nice and that he would do alot of fun things and then I would be back to pick him up. Well that did the trick, he did request that I walk him to the play ground area and wait with him till the bell rang. After that he was fine. He loves it and comes home every day to tell me something new that he has learned. These are the pictures that I took of him on the first day of school. Sorry no play ground pictures only because I had to hold a crying infant and juggle his other younger sister, while trying to make sure he knew where I was going to pick him up. His school is about 15 mins or more away from our house,( there is a new school being built right now) he will go there next year. Much closer. So for now its either I take him and pick him up or put him on the bus. Now keep in mind he is my first to leave the next so to speak and I am a little apprehensive about him riding the bus, and somehow getting lost in the shuffle. But so many of my neighbors are putting their kindergartener's on the bus its hard not to. Ammon even asked on friday how come he doesn't get to ride the bus. I am thinking that I might try it this week and see how he does. Only because it would save me alot of time in the mornings and when he comes home. We shall see how it goes. Still need to figure out what bus he rides and so forth.

Veronica Armenty Spencer has arrived!

Special Note-- This could be a little lengthy... I did include a pic of my blood clot as well.. so maybe a little graphic too. But I thought it was interesting when the Dr delivered my placenta and then was able to show us the blood clot.

On Wed. the 18th of Aug 2010 at 8:04 pm Veronica was born. We are calling her Roni for short. Super cute!
We got to the hospital a little before 10:00 am, got everything all hooked up. The dr came over @ 11:30 and checked my progress and broke my water. We thought for sure with how fast Caitlynn came ( 4 hrs) that Veronica would take no time at all. Boy were we wrong. By 12:30 I was ready for my epidural. The first time they put it in it wasn't right.. had to have a do over on that. Not FUN! Either way what followed was even less fun.. After that I got super sick and proceeded to throw up over and over and over again.. even after delivery. When I got my epidural I was at a 4. At 6:30 pm I was still only at a 4. The nurse came in and told me that there was a possibility that if things didn't start moving I would need a c- section. I began to panick... the dr came over about 6:45 and told me that we just needed to be patient and give it a little more time and to not worry. At 7:30 Aaron finally decided he needed to go get some dinner. The nurse came in to check me right after he left. I was thinking and hoping to at least be at a 7. Much to my surprise she said I was ready to have a baby! Yikes! I had to call Aaron real fast and get him to come back. Dr got there just a few minutes before 8 pm I push a total of 5 times and Veronica was born! Whew! It was my longest labor and delivery yet.
As is turns out Veronica was not as small as they were thinking she would be.. she turned out to be a healthy 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long baby! Not quite as big as Ammon but not as small as Caitlynn. So far she is kind of a combo of both kids.. She looks soooo much like Caitlynn when she was a baby. She isn't as fussy as Caitlynn but not quite as content to just hang out as Ammon was.. its a pretty good middle ground. She eats amazingly well and sleeps for about 4 and half hours at night.. not so bad right!? I really have been enjoying this sweet little girl. I thought that having a third would be really hard and I would want to pull my hair out everyday.. so far its not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Ammon will be starting kindergarten tomorrow and so I am thinking that this can only get better... or at least I hope so. The kids love their little sister until she crys then they plug their ears and leave the room. Its kind of funny.
I know this is going really long, but after the what seemed the longest nine months ever.. I am just glad that Veronica is here and healthy and safe. :)

Iron Chef Competition 2010!

So every year my ward does an Iron Chef Competion. For those of you who don't know what that is I will explain. We are divided into teams of about 5. Someone host at their house, and the rest of us show up with ingredients to help make a yummy dessert and main dish. There is also a secret ingredient that is revealed when we begin and that HAS to be used in both the main dish and the dessert.. this year secret ingredient was ORANGE JUICE! So we came up with...

ORANGE CHICKEN AND RICE WITH A FEW PEPPERS AND A SMALL AMOUNT OF PINAPPLE FOR LOOKS.

For dessert we created our own recipes and made a GRAM CRACKER CRUST WITH ORANGE JUICE AND CREAM CHEESE AND WHIPPING CREAM, WITH A FEW ORANGES ON TOP.

Both turned out super YUMMY and best of all our team took 2nd place! Pretty Good I would say!

Anyhow, at some point when I have a second I will post both recipes. The night was super fun and we all had a great time!

Enjoy the pics!

The Planetarium!

So one over the 24th of July Weekend we decided to take the kids up to the Planatarium and let them see a imax space movie and see what they could learn about space! They loved it! It was fun to see how excited they were to learn things about space, how much they would weigh on different planets, so on and so forth.. these few pics were taken of the kids on the Moon, and Mars.

Super Hero Camp!

At Jump Up Gymnastics they offer a camp called Super Hero Training.. It is always a huge hit with Ammon, as we all know that Ammon loves super hero stuff and has since he was little. This year he had just as much fun. I think these pictures speak for themselves.

35 wks

So today I saw the ob I am 75% effaced and dialated to 1. I am 35 wks as of yesterday. I have been sick with sinus stuff all week and hoping that this pregnancy hurries to be over with. I am ready to have this baby here. Except for the fact that I haven't bought a car seat and haven't gotten anything ready for her. Ok well tonight I finally had Aaron climb in the attic and and get the stuff out and went through some clothes which need to be washed. But beyond that I have nothing ready. I know I am a slacker.. just not feeling the same kind of nesting drive that I felt with the other two. I just keep thinking is this real? Am I really about to have a third child? We have narrowed it down to two names now and so that is progress.
I am glad to have made it this far and the dr's are very surprise but glad. Aside from constant pelvic pain and the early bed rest and the non stop morning sickness this hasn't been to bad. HAHAHA! I will be very happy when we welcome this baby girl to our home here in about 4 weeks or less.
Thanks everyone for all your help and prayers we appreciate it all!

6 WKS AND COUNTING!

Yes that's right the official count down can begin. I have six weeks till my official due date! Baby #3 will be joining our family. I have very mixed emotions. I am so glad I have gotten to a point where I am not sooo worried about her coming, and how its all going to play out. I am close enough to my due date that things would most likely be ok. Granted that nothing terrible happens. Baby is still about two wks small but perhaps she will just be a small baby... which I don't mind at all. Our lives as we know them are about to greatly change. To be honest I am terrified as what this is going to be like. Ammon is starting kindergarten and having a new baby to top that off is a little overwhelming to think about.. so I try not to think about it. Everyone keeps telling me the third one is the hardest.. I am really scared.. Caitlynn I love her to death but she was a reallly reallly really hard baby and cried alot. After I had her I thought my life was over.. little did I know it was really just begining. I am glad she grew out of it she was a much easier toddler than Ammon ever was. As for nesting... well I am not. I have done nothing to get ready for this baby, I haven't gotten out the clothes or put up the crib.. for heaven sake I still need to buy a car seat for this baby, oh and not to mention still haven't picked a name. In the mean time I know I should be doing a few things to get ready but I guess in some ways it still just hasn't hit me that I am having another baby. I think between battling morning sickness( which yes I still have at least two days a wk) and exhaustion, and two other small children I just am not ready. That probably sounds weird as much as I would like my life to go back to normal.. I know the minute she is out normal will go out the window. Soooo in the meantime, I will just think about getting ready to have her and call it good at that. Perhaps if I think about it long enough I will do something about it. haha!

Fourth of July!

Well the fourth of July went by wwaaaayyyy to fast. I was in utter exhaustion and forgot to take some decent pictures. Sorry :( There is always next year! HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY ANYHOW!

Saturday night firework were at our house with all of my family over. It was fun but I was exhausted after ward. Sunday was pretty mello which I was really grateful for a day of rest! Monday we then spent with Aaron's fam, and our good neighbors the Crump's. We bbq'd and it was lots of fun!

In the mean time I do have some pics from the weekend before. My dad recently got called to be a bishop in his ward and while the family was all together we took some fun pictures. The other exciting thing happening was we got a new little nephew.. Eli. Congrats to Justin and Natalie on their first baby!
My little sister Claire also got a new puppy whose name is Maxwell the kids love to play with him and get them to chase him. It's pretty cute to watch!
